How do I turn off AdultFriendFinder auto-renewal? This is a very important question that you should ask if you have a premium or paid account at Aff.com. It’s important to understand the concept of “auto-renewal” to avoid confusion.  By default, and from he start of an account upgrade process, your account is set to auto-renew. You can opt out of this option, or if you accidentally missed it you can also do it later.

What is AFF account auto-renewal?

This auto-renewal concept is simple. It only means that when your AFF account is about to expire their system will automatically renew your subscription. By doing so whatever credit card information you have on file will be automatically charged by monthly prevailing rates, or for the amount of your original plan whatever is the prevailing rate. Needless to say, that if or when your credit card on file is no longer good, your auto-renewal will not go through. You will receive a system generated message with regards to this transaction.

The BIG reason behind auto-renewal? As per site statement, “so the user will not have an interruption of service!” As for me it sounds like “so we can make a lot of money“. Nevertheless, it’s business as usual.

How does it happen?

Again from the start of Aff account upgrade, your account is by default set to auto-renew. But this is an optional feature which you can un-click before you checkout. The system will retain your credit card information for future charges if and when you opt to choose the auto-renewal method.

How do I turn off auto-renewal?

This basically easy to do.

  1.  Just log into your AdultFriendFinder account, and navigate to “My Account” link and click on it. You can find this link from your menu section.
  2. Once your on “My Account” page find the link to “Billing History and Credit Card”. Click on that link.
  3. On top of the page you will find product status, under it is an option to turn off product status. Just set it to off.

Another way and best way to do it is by calling their billing department. These are AFF Billing Department Phone Numbers: 408-702-1033 : Toll Free No.  888-575-8383 (for US and Canada). Ask someone to assist you on your concern.

What I actually do is give them a call a couple of days later just to make sure that they did what I wanted on my account. Or for this concern that they actually turned off auto renewal on my account.

If still doubtful, you can always call your bank to stop charges to the credit card in question. They will probably issue a new card.
